What a fantastic event today has been! For the first time ever the networking event was officially sold out, although we worked hard to fit everyone in. We couldn't have wished for better weather and as a result most of the networking took place outside - overlooking the stunning lakes and gardens surrounding the equally spectacular and award winning Lifehouse Spa itself.
Located in Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex, 10 minutes’ drive from the pretty beach town of Frinton-on-sea, the Lifehouse Spa & Hotel is an exciting, contemporary health spa, offering a unique, life-enriching experience, tailor-made for every guest. They were perfect hosts and spoiled us with divine cuisine including some scrumptious cupcakes!
As always, we enjoyed two hugely informative talks from industry experts including Beata Aleksandrowicz, an expert on massage and healing and the creator of Pure Massage Spa Training Method®. Beata talked about encouraging therapists to embrace wellness and become active advisors in providing guidance to their clients. She also focused on how to deliver high volumes of quality massage treatments safely and minimising any risk of injury to your therapists.
Hygenisy were also welcomed back from our spring networking event to provide further essential guidance on managing health & safety within your spa or salon business. An often overlooked area of our business, Sandra Moore and Samantha Maxwell shared their extensive knowledge of health & safety and how you can create an effective plan to keep your clients and staff safe.
Everyone had the opportunity to tour the Lifehouse spa and see how their dedicated experts, specialising in key areas such as fitness, life coaching, nutrition, weight loss, medical, alternative and holistic therapy and horticulture create personalised, specialised and tailormade programmes to suit their guest's needs. We were also treated to a talk over lunch by Peter Murphy, co-owner and Chief Executive of The Lifehouse about the history of the spa including the 'downs' as well as all the 'ups'.
On top of all that we also did a bit of plugging for National Spa Week - it seemed everyone was super excited to get involved and see what the 2017 campaign will bring.
Another highly worthwhile and useful networking day were old friends caught up and new friends were made in the relaxed and beautiful surroundings of the Lifehouse Spa and Hotel.
